After an extraordinarily close contest, Google’s artificially intelligent Go-playing computer system has beaten Lee Sedol, one of the world’s top players, in the first game of their historic five-game match at Seoul’s Four Seasons hotel.

A new internally-developed tool, dubbed “Bandito,” allows editors to enter different article versions with varying headlines, images and teaser text into its content management system. The technology then detects which version readers are clicking or tapping on more, and automatically serves that version more frequently on the homepage and other areas of the Post’s site.

The New York Times Begins Testing Ad Blocking Approaches | Digital – AdAge

The New York Times on Monday began testing out « various approaches » to combatting the rise of ad-blocking technology. The tests will be administered to « a relatively small population of subscribers and non subscribers, » a company spokeswoman told Ad Age.

Il se pourrait que toutes ces innovations ne puissent rien contre l’ennemi le plus puissant auquel doivent faire face les Captcha, les humains eux-mêmes. Depuis des années, des entreprises font appel à des humains, vivant dans des pays où la main-d’œuvre est bon marché, pour déchiffrer des Captcha à la chaîne. Et envahir le Web de spams.
