Dans sa quête de protection de sa propriété intellectuelle, Columbia Pictures a ainsi fait supprimer entre autres Pixels – Life Buoy, un film réalisé en 2010 par un étudiant en école d’art de Bucarest, un court-métrage de 2011 intitulé Pantone Pixels, une vidéo dans laquelle le designer Franz Jeitz explique qu’il participera au Pixels Festival de 2015, ou encore Love Pixels, une compilation de mix créée pour la Saint-Valentin, désormais inaccessible sur le site du collectif.
Parmi les autres victimes figure la vidéo « Pixels » de Patrick Jean. Il s’agit du court-métrage qui a inspiré le film de Columbia Pictures, et qui n’existe plus sur la chaîne Vimeo du réalisateur.
